You have to be kidding! In one fell swoop, John Tierney proves himself to be as clueless about cultural property as he is about politics, society, and just about everything else. No mention of archaeological context; looting barely mentioned—and where it is, it’s presented as a supply-side problem; hints of keeping the goodies away from the WOGs who wouldn’t know how to care for them anyhow. Why the hell did the Times choose to waste a quarter of the front page of their Science Times section on this drivel?
