Notes:
Large cut ashlar foundation with mud brick superstructure. Mud brick walls notched to accept timbers (as with the palace at Shabwa and structure A-12 at Ghuraf (S-35). Initially robbed for its stones prior to my first visit here in 1994, this building has seen much destruction since by last visit in 1997. Ashlars have been robbed from the foundation of its north wall; its interior has been heavily excavated; and a bulldozer cut scars its southeast edge. The illicit excavations in its interior have revealed a staircase made of very thick grey plaster, as well as a number of stone plaques virtually identical to those discovered in 1997 at S-27.
